We will fully commit to inclusion, diversity, solidarity and sustainability: we anchor sustainability in the university’s mission statement, explore how each of the domains could be positioned within the remit of a Vice-Rector, and ensure that our responsibility for them permeates our entire operation. We develop a communication plan to strengthen support and to reflect our data, expertise and bottom-up commitment. More than ever, we will give the Diversity Council and the Sustainability Council a central and visible role in deploying expertise and developing policy recommendations.
We do not lose touch with what is happening on the work floor, in the auditorium, and in the heads of students and colleagues. We will continue to feed and question our policy-making bottom-up, and monitor how it takes shape on the work floor, in policy texts and realisations. We take into account the uncertainty, questions or doubts of colleagues, lending them support from KU Leuven Engage through training and advice.
